Creating and editing Approval Chains

Approval Chain Setup & Edit

1. In Pequity, navigate to the "Settings" tab from your dashboard or the left-side menu
   
   
   
2. Scroll down to "Edit Approval Chains"
   
                                                      
   
   
3. Click + Create Approval Chain button
   
   
   
   
4. Use "Criteria" to set up your approval chain triggers using:
   • Job Family Group
   • Levels
   • Regions/Locations
   • Ranges (where the offer falls compared to your internal pay bands)
     *If you don't make selections in a particular group all options are added for that group
     
     
     
   • You can also set "Custom Criteria" to match approval chains based on details that may not be related to the compensation elements or job architecture. 
     
     • Custom criteria is based on your custom offer fields in Pequity.
     • You can select any custom field, an operator, and the respective value.
     • You can set multiple custom criteria (note that this acts as an "and" not an "or").
        
5. Next, start setting up your Approver Steps. You can include multiple steps and Groups of approvers using the following approval types:
   
   
   • Auto Approve: Exactly what it sounds like! Once you submit an offer for approval, it will be auto-approved regardless of criteria.
   • Parallel Approval: Create and/or scenarios within a single approval step with either a single approver or Group of multiple approvers. Once the offer is submitted, an email will be sent to all approvers on the step, and they can approve in any order.
   • Sequential Approval: Approvers will approve in the order that they are added in the approval chain. ie Step 1 Approver must approve the offer before Step 2 approver on the chain will receive an email and link to review and approve the offer.
