If your company's Pequity instance is integrated with your company's SSO provider, there are a few key components to keep in mind when it comes to adding and removing user access.
Adding a new user
1️⃣ To provision access to Pequity to a new user, first add them to the Pequity app in your SSO provider's App dashboard.
2️⃣ When the new user logs into the Pequity platform via SSO, they will default to a Guest account. This means they will not have access to any data in any section of the Pequity app. For example, if they click on Ranges, they would see empty content.
3️⃣ Your company's Pequity admin will need to specify the new user's permissions to ensure they have proper access. You can refer to this help article for how to set up your team in Pequity.
4️⃣ Once your Pequity admin has finalized permissions, the new user will be able to login via SSO and see the appropriate Pequity data.
Removing an existing user
1️⃣ To remove access for an existing Pequity user, first remove them from the Pequity app in your SSO provider's App dashboard.
2️⃣ After removing them from your SSO provider's settings, navigate to Pequity to remove the user from the Pequity tool. Navigate to settings > Team Members > find the user > scroll down to Delete
⛳️ If a user tries to login to Pequity using SSO but they are not provisioned access in your company's SSO account, they will receive an error notifying them they are unable to sign in. This ensures nobody at your company has access to Pequity unless you specifically provide it.
💡 If a user is added to Pequity with appropriate permissions first (before they are provisioned access in your company's SSO account), their Pequity permissions will remain intact after they are given access to Pequity via your SSO provider. Pequity matches the user based on their company email to ensure a seamless transition into the tool.
