Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) is a network protocol for securely accessing, transferring and managing large files and sensitive data. SFTP requires that the client accessing the server is authenticated, making this a secure method to transfer your company's sensitive data. Using this approach, you can provide your company's most up to date HRIS data by dropping your HRIS exports & any other relevant data files into an SFTP drop zone directly on the Pequity server, created by the Pequity team.
☝️ Your HRIS will have their own rules and limitations regarding SFTP integration when it comes to automated report drops, so please work with your HRIS provider & technical team to determine if setting up regular & automated file drops is possible.
How it works
Drop your HRIS employee census into the SFTP server drop zone by following the below steps, using the authentication credentials provided by your Pequity team. These will be unique to your company and provided through a secure password link during setup. At an agreed upon cadence, Pequity can then locate the files you have provided via SFTP, download them securely, then import the most up-to-date employee census data from the SFTP server into your Pequity instance.
